Adrian College Baseball, Greatest Season in School History, Ends

A grand slam by Matt Psychas in the bottom of the sixth inning proved to be the difference as visiting Heidelberg outlasted Adrian, 9-6, in the championship game of this NCAA Division III Baseball Championship regional site here at Nicolay Field today.

The Student Princes, who improve to 33-13 on the season, will move on to the Super Regionals against the Case Western/Wooster winner this weekend. The Bulldogs see their best record in team history finish with a 37-9 record for an .804 winning percentage. The 37 wins also ties a school benchmark. Senior Jason Croci led Adrian–which outhit the Student Princes, 16-11–with a 4-for-5 performance at the plate.
