I’ve had this game on my wishlist for a while now, and I’ve been following it for a couple months.
Everytime it was about to get released, it got pushed back. Then today, I checked my email and saw it finally came out.
A Taste of the Past is a chill, free walking simulator with a unique art style and a calm vibe. The game gives you a couple choices dialogue wise and asks the hard questions about death. Yet, despite the seemingly depressing topic, this game manages to leave you kinda happy in the end.
Speaking of the end, the ending was possibly the best part of this game. It made me feel happy and a little sad, but the important part is I felt really satisfied and for a lot of games that’s hard to pull off, so well done Sondering Studio.
