KINGSPORT, Tenn. (SESN) — Day one of the 2025 WinWon Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men’s Volleyball Tournament is in the books, and the top four seeds all advanced. However, it was not easy for the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds as they were involved in some tough matches.
The eight-team, single-elimination tournament runs through Saturday at the Tribe Athletic Complex in Kingsport, Tenn. Top-seeded St. Thomas and No. 2 seed Reinhardt moved on quickly as both swept their matches.

No. 3 seed Webber International had a battle with No. 6 seed Life, needing four sets to get the win. After dropping the first set 28-26, Life rallied to take the second 25-22 to even the match. Yet, Webber outlasted Life down the stretch and claimed the third and fourth sets, winning them 25-21 and 25-18.
The final match of the day was a thriller as No. 4 seed Bluefield slugged out a five-set win over No. 5 seed Talladega. The teams traded sets through the first four frames with neither team winning by more than five points. In the fifth, neither team could gain control as the set went to extra points. Tied at 19-all, Mason Lloyd registered back-to-back kills to give Bluefield the 21-19 set win and 3-2 match victory.
