All Elite Wrestling (AEW) revealed a thread of posts on Twitter Friday evening. The thread was part of a message from AEW president and CEO Tony Khan.

An outpouring of support for Wednesday’s Dynamite

An outpouring of support came as many have praised as a result of their first-ever empty arena show from their headquarters in Jacksonville, Fla.

“Our goal every week with AEW Dynamite on TNT is to produce great shows for our fans, and I believe we do,” Khan states.

“We felt especially motivated to serve our audience this past Wednesday night given what the entire world is coping with,” Khan continues. “Hopefully we gave them a well-deserved escape during these trying times.”

“Everyone at AEW is very proud of what we delivered and humbled by the response and the kind words we’ve received from fans and partners throughout the world,” Khan adds.

Khan states that they plan to continue with live weekly shows every Wednesday night on TNT.

AEW Dynamite ‘Blood and Guts’ postponed, regular schedule to continue

The ‘Blood and Guts’ themed broadcast for next week is moving to an unspecified date. The broadcast was originally planned to be live from Newark, N.J. Stating the circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 coronavirus scare, the timing “isn’t right” for the planned show and was postponed.

Khan adds that there will a Dynamite broadcast next week as a result, despite uncertainty from Wednesday’s broadcast. Commentators Tony Schiavone, Jim Ross and Taz announced matches for the next Dynamite but didn’t refer to next week. However, a tremendous night of wrestling action is planned.

Slated is a face-to-face confrontation between Chris Jericho and Matt Hardy for the first time in an AEW ring. This would reportedly be their first face-to-face since their last booked match during a Feb. 2, 2010 episode of SmackDown.

Khan recommends that fans follow their various social media channels, but also advises them to be safe and smart.
