The Bryan College Men’s Basketball team took the court in Summers Gym on Saturday against Columbia International University in an Appalachian Athletic Conference game. Both teams traded buckets throughout the 1st half, and neither team owned more than a 7 point lead.
The Lions shot 56% from the field and went into halftime with a 37-33 lead. Bryan went on a 12-3 run in the 2nd half to push their lead out to 18. That was enough to cruise to the 80-65 victory for their third win of the week. Bryan improves to 10-5 overall and 7-4 in the AAC for 4th place in the standings.
Brandon Thomas shot 14-21 from the field for 28 points and 9 rebounds. Ian Johnson tallied 13 points, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds. Michael Cody recorded his third-consecutive double-digit game with 13 points. Noah Mulaski finished with 11 points. Gene Holmes had 9 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists.
Bryan will travel to St. Andrews University on Tuesday to battle the Knights at 7:30PM.
