Bryan College Basketball Picks Up 70th-Consecutive Conference Win

The Bryan College Women’s Basketball team took the court in Summers Gym on Saturday afternoon for an Appalachian Athletic Conference matchup against Columbia College. The Lady Lions got off to a slow start by their standards but scored 16 points in the final 5 minutes of the 1st quarter to take a 28-17 lead after one frame.

Karli Combs knocked down 3 shots from three-point range in the second quarter and Bryan extended their lead to go into the halftime locker room up 51-28. Samantha Russell lit up the scoreboard in the 3rd quarter after scoring 12 points on 5-6 from the field.

Gracee Dishman owned the 4th quarter after going a perfect 4-4 from 8 points. The Lady Lions passed the century mark for the second time this season with the 104-59 win over the Koalas. Today’s win marked Bryan’s 70th-straight AAC victory. A historic feat after completing three undefeated conference seasons dating back to November 7th, 2018.

Bryan will travel to Brenau University on Wednesday at 5:30PM.
