Pro Football Sports Biz

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton had surgery in December on the lisfranc injury to his foot.

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network is now reporting that the Carolina Panthers will trade him in March once he is fully recovered.

Newton is due $19 million in salary but none of it is guaranteed.

Newton’s recent injury history and salary has lead to many believing the team wants to part ways with him.

Kyle Allen took over the job and finished the season with 3,32 yards passing, 17 touchdowns, and 16 interceptions.

Matt Rhule is now the team’s head coach and will likely want a certain fit at QB for the start of his tenure.
