The Women’s Golf Coaches Association has announced the 2021-22 student-athlete and coaches awards for NAIA Women’s Collegiate Golf. The awards are selected by a prestigious collection of women’s collegiate golf coaches.
Dalton State landed two players on the WGCA All-American teams in Sydney Hermann and Mailey Buzzell. Herman was selected to the 1st team with Buzzell coming in on the 2nd team. Hermann won SSAC Player of they Year after finish in the top-10 in the country individually with only 1 finish outside the top 10 and a scoring average of 74.80. Buzzell was right behind Hermann finishing just outside the top-10 individually with two victories and a scoring average of 75.72.

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women’s collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Today, the WGCA represents over 650 coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.
