Do ski teachers need to train for skiing? Yes

In this Snow Camps Europe video we look at some ways ski teachers keep their skiing up to scratch. Many people find it strange that ski teachers need to train, attend coaching sessions and ski teacher training as well as staying fit off the slopes with dryland training.

In this video we take a look at just a few things ski teachers do from getting out of their own rhythm, upping their speed and challenging their selves and others with formation skiing and drills. Following other skis will mean you have to change your tempo, turn radius and some times ski faster or slower than normal this takes you out of your comfort zone and challenges your skiing. Formation skiing is a great way to challenge several people all at once skiing to the same rhythm keeping equal distance apart and at the same speed. Drills you can do on your own are all well and good but most people will do the drills they enjoy so ask your fellow ski teachers to challenge you with a drill that you do not do very often with your guests.
