Tonight, January 12, 2020 was Paws and Pucks night at the Huntington Center in Toledo, OH. This was my first time attending the event, and I was pleasantly surprised. The dogs I encountered were well behaved. So in keeping with the theme of dogs, here this goes.
I understand that the Toledo Walleye have played three home games in a row and lost all three. I can imagine that in and of itself is tiring, let alone roster changes. Roster changes consisting of at least one of the following: penalties, injuries, transactions to and from AHL teams.
The Walleye caused pucks to rain cats and dogs towards the Wheeling Nailer’s goalie. Though all but one, puddled at the opponent.
In conclusion, I do not think that this will be a game that I “dog ear” in my hockey memory book. I hope to see the team “put on the dog.” Otherwise, they may have to tell the coaches, that the dog ate their homework.
