New reports indicate the Chicago Bears diligently attempted to pursue Russel Wilson as an option at quarterback. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the NFC North team made “a very aggressive pursuit” in trade talks with the Seattle Seahawks.
However, eventually Seattle made it clear that it was not trading Wilson. The Bears were one of four teams that Wilson’s agent named as a place of interest. Chicago has since signed Andy Dalton.

It shouldn’t surprise anyone that Chicago was heavily involved in discussions involving Wilson. After all, the franchise has been starving for a franchise quarterback since the departure of Jim McMahon.
Back in February, a report surfaced that an “unhappy” Wilson would accept a trade to the Chicago Bears. Since being drafted by the Seahawks, the electric playmaker has thrown for 33,946 yards and 267 touchdowns.
