Stampeders Sign DB Robertson Daniel

The Calgary Stampeders have signed international defensive back Robertson Daniel. They also released international defensive back Malique Jackson.

Robertson Daniel will wear the number zero for Calgary. He played college football at BYU. Born in St. Thomas, VI, he stands 6’1″ and weighs 205 lbs.

Daniel signed with the National Football League’s Oakland Raiders in 2015 and spent time on the practice rosters of the Raiders, Green Bay Packers and Washington Redskins before making his professional debut with one game for the Baltimore Ravens in 2016. He also played one game for the Ravens in 2018.

In college, Daniel played two seasons at Brigham Young University and in 25 games for the Cougars including 22 starts, he recorded 110 total tackles including one tackle for loss, made three interceptions and added one sack, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and 23 pass breakups. Daniel transferred to BYU from De Anza College in Cupertino, Calif.
