Many tournaments and teams are labeled as “Showcase” when in reality they are just normal high school level baseball teams. The showcase name is thrown around to make people feel good. There is a VERY small percentage of high school ballplayers I would consider true showcase level.
Hopefully the information in the video helps parents and players understand the realities of the sport and the recruiting process. If you aren’t committed by the time you are a sophomore, I have news for you: YOU ARE NORMAL! It will all work out if you stay the course and lean on people you can trust.
