I was stoked about the potential of Video Creator that Abhi Dwivedi has launched with JVZoo. However, upon getting into it, the application is severely limited and is like so many other releases prior to it that offered monthly templates, and this is really just templates and not allowing importing video assets and applying planar tracking or any of the other features. What is really does is allow you to change text and one or two images in most cases. I suppose it would be too amazing for it to work with a user’s original content. If you want content that looks just like everyone else’s, then this may be great for you. However, let’s call it as it is: a “video template with some options”. It is not a video creator. You are not “creating” anything. I guess that “Template Creator,” or “Video Multiplier with Changeable Options,” is not quite as catchy.
I get tired of all the hype and shortfalls in delivery and the constant hustle of the continued sales offering the next greatest thing, only to offer the same old thing with some shiny new options. Abhi Dwivedi says in the Live Facebook event that doesn’t look at the limitations, but the awesome opportunity of “7 contacts” and the “attention economy.” He states it’s not about trust as must as just getting their attention 7 times and the increased probability of purchases without gaining trust. This makes sense coming from these sellers as they continue to under-deliver, but sales rock for each new product. I’m keen on getting what I pay for and being sold honestly, not just because I fall into their “attention economy.” I wish you the best in your video and marketing efforts and hope this video helps you, and perhaps as I do more, will someday hold these sellers more accountable as I also apply their ideas about the “attention economy.”
