Pro Football

The Calgary Stampeders have signed international defensive lineman Charles Walker and re-signed international running back Romar Morris. They then placed the running back on the six-game injury list.

Morris appeared in 10 regular-season games in 2018 and accumulated 376 rushing yards, 167 receiving yards, 813 return yards and seven total touchdowns. He suffered an injury during the Western Final and was out of action for the Grey Cup. He was released on May 19 but had remained with the team to continue his injury rehab.

National offensive lineman Brad Erdos also goes on the six-game injury list.

Walker signed with the National Football League’s Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2017 and has spent time with the National Arena League’s Massachusetts Pirates and the Indoor Football League’s Nebraska Danger in 2019. He was on the BC Lions’ roster during the past off-season before being released on Apr. 30.

Walker played 24 games over three seasons at the University of Oklahoma and recorded 53 tackles including 13 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, one forced fumble and five pass breakups. He was named second-team all-Big 12 Conference in 2015 after amassing 36 tackles including 10 tackles for loss, six sacks and one forced fumble in 12 games.
