The Stockbridge High School Panthers defeated the Pontiac Phoenix 68-40 in non-conference action on Friday night. The Panthers rose to 2-2 on the year while the Phoenix dropped to 0-4.

Riley Kennedy was 4-for-6 passing for 126 yards and three touchdowns and added 94 yards rushing on nine attempts. His performance complemented the stunning statistics of WR Jeremy Pilch.

Pilch accounted for nine total touchdowns in the Stockbridge win over Pontiac. His effort totaled up to 508 yards with the ball en route to the victory. Pilch rushed for 307 yards and five touchdowns on 13 carries.

Even though the rushing perforce alone would have been enough tp make headlines, he also caught four passes for 126 yards and three touchdowns. In addition, he added a 73-yard kick return for a score on top of it all.

He is an “extremely talented young man willing to do what he wants to help his team succeed,” said Head Coach Jeremy Killinger to List23.

SHS, now standing at .500 on the season, will hit the road on Friday. They’ll play their storied rivalry game against Leslie High School. The Blackhawks are 1-3, so things are looking good for the Panthers.
