The game between SMU and Houston had a crazy ending as Houston upset undefeated SMU in the final minute. SMU kicked a long field goal with under a minute left to tie the game at 37-37. Then, Houston’s Marcus Jones returned the ensuing kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown to give the Cougars a 44-37 with little time remaining. SMU got the ball back and took one final shot to the end zone but the pass fell incomplete. Houston held on for a 44-37 upset over #19 SMU.
