The Falcons will also be in pursuit of their first NCAA Division III National Championship after competing in the Final Four for each of the past two seasons under the guidance of Trapp, who places third on the all-time victories list for field hockey coaches in NCAA I, II, and III. Trapp’s teams have been to a total of 14 Final Fours and eight National Championship games in her tenure. The Falcons have two returning All-Commonwealth players, senior Kourtney Ehly and sophomore Gina Kellet. The team will also welcome five newcomers to a roster that returns five of their top seven points leaders from a year ago.

The Eagles return a host of talented performers in the field as 2010 Rookie of the Year Jess Jaindl (19 goals) and All-American midfielder Yvonne Herbster (11 goals, 15 assists) pace the offense. Danielle Danser is a key returner in the back who will be called upon to lead the Eastern defense. In addition to their Freedom Conference schedule, the Eagles will test themselves against Commonwealth favorites Messiah College and traditional powers TCNJ, Rowan University, and Lebanon Valley College.
