Adrian took the lead in the first period just over halfway through. Emily Stemple found the netting on a pass from Reaghan Pietrowski to lead 1-0. Two minutes later, the Bulldogs struck again on a goal from Jessica VonRuden to lead 2-0. Callie Wollschlager and Brooke Schembri recorded assists on the goal.

With Adrian leading 2-0 in the second period, Lake Forest put themselves on the board to make it a one goal game. Moments later, Abbie Grias netted her sixth of the season to put Adrian up 3-1.

Trailing by two, the Foresters caught the deflection of a Bulldog stick which led to a goal and a 3-2 score with 16 minutes left to go in regulation. Adrian had an opportunity on the power play halfway through the period, but came up unsuccessful. With two minutes to go in the game, Lake Forest took and timeout, but it was answered with a Pietrowski goal to put the Bulldogs up 4-2 and seal the quarterfinal win.

Denisa Jandova finished the game with 15 saves. Adrian finished 37-15 on the faceoff and totaled 43 shots on the night.

Adrian will move on to the NCHA semifinal round and host the Aurora University Spartans on Saturday March 13 at 7:00 PM.
