CANTON, N.C. (SESN) — After Hurricane Helene’s remnants caused catastrophic flooding in Western North Carolina, Pisgah High School’s football field was left submerged under 15 feet of water. Faced with extensive damage and layers of silt covering the field, Pisgah High School turned to AstroTurf for emergency restoration services to prepare the field for an upcoming game.

AstroTurf responded immediately, sending a dedicated team of experts who worked relentlessly to clean the field and remediate the flood-related damage. In just 12 days, AstroTurf’s crew successfully restored the playing surface, ensuring that Pisgah High School’s football team could return to action for their Friday night game. The AstroTurf team removed silt and soiled infill, cleaned the surface, added infill, and completed essential repairs to bring the field back to a safe and playable condition.
