The BC Lions Football Club has announced that international kicker and punter Sergio Castillo has been added to their roster. Castillo (5’11”, 185) has spent parts of three seasons in the CFL with Winnipeg, Ottawa and Hamilton. A native of Texas, he’s appeared in 20 regular season games going 39 of 47 (83%) on field goals, 25 for 27 on converts and punting 114 times with an average of 45 yards per attempt.
“Sergio is a veteran kicker who brings significant experience and skill to an important position on our team,” said GM Ed Hervey. “We look forward to seeing how all of our kickers perform during the next couple weeks of camp.”
