There are a few bass players that influenced me a lot and Rex Brown is definitely one! Especially his sound made me look out for Spector basses and Sansamp pedals. I hesitated to cover a Pantera song because Rex’ playing style and groove is so unique that it’s very easy to destroy a cover (in a bad way).
