Former Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen in Buffalo for Bills Visit

Greg Olsen is on the move after it was announced that he and the Carolina Panthers had agreed to part ways. Olsen has already scheduled a pair of visits to some potential new homes throughout the league.

Olsen was in Buffalo for a meeting with Bills personnel on Wednesday, according to the NFL Network, though he reportedly plans to make several visits before making his final decision.

Buffalo GM Brandon Beane worked with the Panthers for 10 years before taking the Bills’ job in 2017. Sean McDermott used to be Carolina’s defensive coordinator before he became head coach in Buffalo.

Both have relationships with Olsen.

Olsen, a three-time NFL Pro Bowler, caught 52 passes for 597 yards and two touchdowns. Carolina decided to move on with Ian Thomas as opposed to Olsen. The 34-year-old is also expected to visit the Washington Redskins, who are coached by former Panthers HC Ron Rivera.

Olsen would have his pick of broadcast offers should he decide to hang up his cleats and move into the booth.
