Today’s final will be held on the campus of Tougaloo College, a GCAC member school in Jackson, Mississippi.
On the men’s side it’s the Philander Smith College Panthers, and the host Tougaloo College Bulldogs. A title on the line, and one crowned tonight. Philander Smith College led by NBA great and head coach Todd Day Sr. The Bulldogs of Tougaloo directed along the sideline by Eric Strothers. Two great coaches, and the staff with them are effective as well.

Taking a look back at the bracket and how we got to this point, it was quite the show for both of these programs all four days here at the tournament. Philander first dispatched the Oakwood Ambassadors, 60-41, then overcame Fisk yesterday in the early window, 79-72. The Panthers were able to get both of their basketball programs into the title games here this afternoon. Which is just incredible.
The Dawgs with a bigtime win and a showing against SUNO in the opening round. Last night they needed to beat a team who had already pulled off one big win, and it was a tight one, as the Bulldogs stormed from behind and secured the victory against Wiley College, 75-69.
