Liverpool transfer news, rumors, gossip, and speculation including the latest on Jurgen Klopp, Jadon Sancho, Saul Niguez, Patson Daka, Florian Neuhaus, Kylian Mbappe, Adama Traore, and more

Former Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho could be set for a Everything indicates that Liverpool is going to sign Florian Neuhaus this summer, according to a report.

HITC site AS Sport as making the claim with their article stating:

Liverpool is said to be competing with a number of clubs for the signature of the Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder, but they appear to be at the head of the race.

That is because Liverpool is believed to have moved the fastest to try and secure their first-choice replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum.

Marko Grujic is confident of signing for Porto this month after being told he is free to leave Liverpool for good, according to a report.

The Serbian midfielder, 25, who was Jurgen Klopp’s first signing at Anfield, has spent the last three seasons on loan, including at the Portuguese giants last term.

Football Insider claim a club source has told them that Liverpool will not stand in the way of Grujic leaving permanently this summer as they look to raise cash for new signings.

They add that the central midfielder held talks over the weekend over joining Porto and they are negotiating the fee with Liverpool. It will be an eight-figure sum, with the Reds said to be holding out for Β£15m.

Liverpool have been monitoring Borussia Monchengladbach’s 24-year-old midfielder Florian Neuhaus but it is as yet unclear as to whether or not they will make a move for him during the summer transfer window, writes Matt Addison.

The ECHO understands Liverpool have scouted the player but may not dip into the market for a midfielder this summer, with their priorities possibly lying elsewhere.

Florian Plettenberg, chief reporter at German outlet Sport1, told the ECHO on a special Florian Neuhaus podcast what Liverpool fans could expect if a move does happen – though he also warned it is more than possible that Neuhaus could remain at Gladbach for another 12 months.

Plettenberg said:

“Klopp has shown that he can develop players and I have never heard a player who could not imagine working with him!

“Klopp knows the [agent] of Neuhaus and the [agent] of Neuhaus knows Klopp very well, so it could be the perfect match – he would fit very well.

“If you speak with him, you can see that he is very open-minded. He knows what he has to do.

“Neuhaus is one of the best five midfielders in the Bundesliga. He has the quality and the talent to get his breakthrough in a top club and he is playing constantly.”

Liverpool have confirmed goalkeeper Adrian has signed a contract extension with the club.

The former West Ham goalkeeper looked set to depart on a free transfer as his current deal approached it’s end but the Spaniard will remain at Anfield after penning a contract extension.

Adrian joined Liverpool on a free transfer in August 2019 and has made 24 appearances in all competitions during his time on Merseyside due to various injuries to first-choice stopper Alisson Becker.

The goalkeeper expressed his delight at signing a new deal and continuing his time at the club.

Liverpool are said to be ‘close’ to completing a deal for RB Salzburg forward Daka but face late competition from Leicester City.

That is according to Anfield Central, who cite ‘reports from Zambia and Spain’.

Daka bagged 34 goals in 42 appearances last term and is reportedly valued at Β£17m by the Austrian outfit.

Brendan Rodgers is said to be searching for a ‘long-term replacement’ for star striker Jamie Vardy and Daka could fit the bill.

That’s for now from Anfield.
