Washington Redskins safety Maurice Smith saw his day come to an end against the Dallas Cowboys after he tried to make a tackle whilst leading with his helmet.
Instead he accidentally knocked himself out cold on the field.
He soon received medical attention before a cart came out to retrieve him.

Smith would not return to the game. The team later diagnosed him with a concussion.
