Adrian was dominant all weekend long, handily defeating the Green Knights in back-to-back contests. St. Norbert College saw its season come to a close with a 5-0 loss to Adrian College in the second game of a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association first-round series at Arrington Ice Arena.
The Bulldogs scored two goals in the first period and then salted the game away with three third-period goals. Adrian outshot St. Norbert 44-11. Anais Aurard made 39 saves for the Green Knights, while Denisa Jandova made 11 stops for the Bulldogs. St. Norbert was 0-for-2 on the power play, while the Bulldogs were 1-for-6.
Adrian will host the Slaats Cup Semifinal and Finals next weekend. No. 2-seed St. Scholastica will play No. 3-seed Lake Forest in the semifinal game Friday, March 1, with the winner facing Adrian for a chance at the Slaats Cup and an automatic bid for the NCAA Tournament on Sunday, March 3.
