TORONTO | NSBNsports.com | August 14, 2026 — Chattanooga FC will attempt to strengthen its playoff position and establish a new MLS NEXT Pro-era unbeaten record when it visits Toronto FC II on Friday night.
The Boys in Blue enter the match unbeaten in 10 consecutive contests. A win or draw at York Lions Stadium would extend the streak to 11 and make it the longest unbeaten run of Chattanooga’s MLS NEXT Pro era.
Chattanooga is coming off a 1-0 victory over rival Atlanta United 2 in Richard Dixon’s first match since being named the club’s permanent head coach. Alex Krehl scored his 13th goal of the season and moved into sole possession of second place in the MLS NEXT Pro Golden Boot race.
“They’ve been on a good run of form,” Dixon said of Toronto. “They’re good in possession. They can hurt you in the build-up or over the top. They’re good in transition as well with their counterattacks, so that’s something we have to be aware of.”
Chattanooga enters the match in second place in the Eastern Conference. Toronto is 12th with an 8-10-3 record, one shootout victory and 28 points as it continues its own pursuit of a playoff berth.
Toronto is coming off a 4-2 road victory over Chicago Fire FC II. Midfielder Jahmarie Nolan leads the team with eight goals, while Fletcher Bank has recorded a team-high five assists.
The clubs have met four times, with Chattanooga holding a 2-1-1 advantage and one shootout victory. CFC has won both of its previous matches at York Lions Stadium, including a 5-1 victory during the 2024 season.
