CLINTON, S.C. | NSBNsports.com | August 14, 2026 — Four Presbyterian College football players earned spots on Phil Steele’s 2026 preseason All-Pioneer Football League teams.
Senior offensive lineman Marcello Coleman received first-team recognition, while senior wide receiver Jalen Patrick, junior defensive back Ryan Largin and senior defensive back Noah Taylor were named to the third team.
Coleman started 11 games at right guard last season and helped Presbyterian establish new Division I-era program records with 413 points, 2,124 rushing yards and 26 rushing touchdowns. The Blue Hose averaged 177 rushing yards per game and allowed only 1.5 sacks per contest.
Patrick recorded 16 receptions for 214 yards and one touchdown in a crowded Presbyterian receiving corps. He caught five passes for 69 yards against Stetson and produced a season-long 41-yard reception at Dayton.
Largin appeared in every game and finished with 22 tackles and three pass breakups. He contributed to a Presbyterian defense that allowed only 16 points per game, the third-lowest average among FCS programs.
Taylor registered 18 tackles and four pass breakups during his first season with the Blue Hose after transferring from Fresno City College. He helped Presbyterian hold opponents to a 30% conversion rate on third down, the second-best mark in the FCS.
The four selections follow a historic 2025 season in which Presbyterian won 10 games for the third time in program history. The Blue Hose opened the year with seven consecutive victories, climbed as high as No. 16 in the AFCA Coaches Poll and finished 6-0 at Bailey Memorial Stadium for the first time in nearly three decades.
Presbyterian will begin a new era under first-year head coach Matt Rahl, who was promoted in December after working with the program’s offensive line during the previous two seasons.
The Blue Hose open the 2026 season against UVA Wise at Bailey Memorial Stadium on Thursday, Aug. 27.
