KINGSPORT, Tenn. (SESN) — The 2024 WinWon Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women’s Volleyball Tournament bracket is set, and Columbia International is the regular-season champion and the No. 1 seed.

Columbia International sealed the top seed with a 3-0 sweep over Reinhardt on Saturday to finish 19-1 in conference play. The Rams’ lone loss was to Reinhardt, which is the No. 2 seed at 18-2.

As the regular-season champion, Columbia International earned an automatic berth to the NAIA National Championship Tournament. The AAC has a second automatic berth, which goes to the tournament champion.

The 10-team, single-elimination tournament gets underway on Thursday, Nov. 14, and runs through Saturday, Nov. 16, at the MeadowView Marriott Convention Center & Conference Resort in Kingsport, Tenn.

Since teams play an unbalanced schedule with eight teams playing 21 conference games while seven teams play 20, a point system is used to determine the seeding for the tournament. A team receives a half-point for winning a match within its division and one point for a win over a team from the other division. In all, the maximum number of points a team can earn is 14.

Here are the tournament seeds:

  1. Columbia International (29-2, 19-1 AAC) – 13.5 points
  2. Reinhardt (23-6, 18-2 AAC) – 12.5 points
  3. Milligan (23-7, 18-3 AAC) – 12.0 points
  4. Johnson (27-6, 16-5 AAC) – 10.5 points
  5. Bluefield (19-12, 14-7 AAC) – 9.0 points
